What colours are the BIAL radiators available in?

The radiators are available in four basic colours (white, anthracite, beige and platinum). You can choose the colours and configurations on our internet site. Custom-made products are also available in other RAL colours and in chrome.

Can I order a radiator with dimensions different from the standard?

We also make custom-made radiators with non-standard dimensions. It is desirable to work on the basis of radiators with dimensions from our standard programme. However, in line with your wishes and demands we can also make radiators of non-standard forms, dimensions and colours.

Do you also make aluminium, copper and stainless steel radiators?

No.

Does the electrical BIAL radiator need to be filled with a special liquid?

Water is sufficient. If there is danger of freezing, we recommend a mixture of water and antifreeze or water and glycol. We do not recommend oil.

What is the warranty period for your radiators and other products?

The warranty period for our radiators is five (5) years and the warranty period for electrical heaters is two (2) years

How long does it take to manufacture a custom-made radiator?

The delivery period is 45 days after coordination of the technical details, payments and delivery conditions.

What is the delivery period for BIAL products?

The products have different dispatch codes according to their type, colour and dimensions. The products are dispatched according to their codes: code A in 7 days, code B in 21 days and code C in 45 days from the order date.

How do I acquire a custom-made radiator?

Send us an inquiry with your technical demands and a sketch of the desired product.

How does the ON/OFF heater work? Does the heater have a thermostat? How many degrees does the ON/OFF heater reach?

The ON/OFF heater works at maximum power (eg. 600W) the entire time of the operation and does not have a built-in thermostat. The electrical heater emits maximum power (eg. 600W) and the temperature of the radiator depends on its size. Read more in the instructions.

How does the ELS and ILS heater work?

Electric heaters include buttons:
- temperature regulation
- dryer function
- turn on/off button

ELECTRIC HEATER ELS:
Turning the device on with the "on/off" button will result in the radiator heating up to the set temperature. After reaching the set temperature the device will turn off and on regularly in order to maintain the set temperature.

In order to increase the temperature of the radiator, press "+" once or several times as required; the correct number of diodes will start blinking. The last blinking diode indicates the set temperature, whilst the last diode which shines constantly, indicates the current temperature. The remaining diodes will start shining constantly on reaching subsequent temperature levels.
In order to decrease the temperature of the radiator, press "-" once or several times as required; the correct number of diodes will start blinking. The last diode, which shines continuously, indicates the set temperature whilst the last blinking diode indicates the current temperature. The remaining diodes will start fading on reaching subsequent temperature levels.

ELECTRIC HEATER ILS:
Pressing the button "on/off"switches on the device, after which, the element will begin to heat. By turning itself on and off regularly, the device regulates the heating output of the radiator to an average output, as set by the user within 30-100% of nominal heating output of the device.
The design of the device (PTC heating element) protects the user from harm via burning, by automatically limiting radiator temperature to 60°C, regardless of the current setting (provided that the heat output of the element has been correctly matched with the heat output of the radiator).

Setting of required heating output. In order to obtain the required room temperature, please set the right heating level of the device (buttons +/-). It is possible to set 1 of 5 heating levels: 30-40-60-80-100% of the nominal heating output. Selection of every subsequent level is indicated by switching on subsequent diodes.

DRYER FUNCTION (for electric heater ELS and ILS)
The Dryer turns the device on for 2 hours, e.g. in order to dry a towel. After this period of time the device automatically switches to the mode to which it was set before the dryer mode.
The dryer is turned on by pressing button "timer" (also when the device is off). The device will start heating at the temperature which was last set. This temperature can be modified as required while the device is running (buttons "+" and "-"). If the device was off before the dryer mode was been activated, then it will turn off automatically when the dryer mode is finished.

ANTI-FREEZE FUNCTION (for electric heater ELS and ILS)
When the device is off and the temperature surrounding the temperature sensor drops to below 6° C, the device will switch on automatically. This is to prevent the heating agent inside the radiator from freezing. The activation of Anti-freeze mode is indicated by the blinking of the middle diode.

The device should be installed by a professional, who has to comply with the instructions by the manufacturer, and the standards and restrictions for the installation of the device in question.

Why does only one half of the electrical radiator heat up?

Check if there is enough water or other liquid in the radiator. Use a suitable heating medium for filling the electric radiator, i.e. (water, special products based on water and glycol for use in central heating systems, or oil which complies with the requirements of the manufacturer of the radiator and heating element).

Make sure an adequate air cushion is present to protect against excessive pressure build up within the heater (always leave one of the radiator valves open).

This should be performed by a professional.

Do all BIAL radiators come in an electrical or combined heating mode?

Yes. All radiators, except the A200, A300 and Quadro, can function as electrical heaters or in a combined mode (electricity and warm water).

The radiator does not heat up, although the electrical heater indicator is on. What do I do?

Turn the electrical heater off. Check if there is water or other liquid in the radiator. A professional should check if the electrical heater is correctly connected to the mains. Check if the heater is properly connected and operates properly in the instructions for using the electrical heater. If you think the incorrect function of the heater is the cause of the problems, contact the manufacturer. Never open the housing or repair the electrical heater.

How big or how much power should the radiator for my new bathroom have?

Consult with the designer of your machine installation for an exact calculation. A rough calculation can be made with the help of the formula: power (W) = room volume (m3) × 70W. Choose the dimensions of the radiator according to the available space.

Can I install the heater upside down?

No.

Are your BIAL heaters also compatible with other tubular radiators?

Yes. The installation and the connection to the mains power supply must be performed by a professional.

Can I install the radiator transversely or horizontally to the recommended basic set-up?

A radiator connected to hot water can be installed horizontally. A radiator with an electrical heater or a combined radiator should not be installed horizontally.

How can I make a complaint?

Send the complaint with the description of the complaint and the error, product data and your data by post or e-mail. Enclose the copy of the receipt. It is desirable that you also submit pictures.

How close to the sink or the bath tub can the BIAL electrical heater be installed?

This depends on the particular type of heater. Installation safety zone designations must be considered during the installation of radiators with electric heaters. The installation of electric heaters in Zones 0 and 1 is prohibited. In Zone 2, the installation of appropriately protected BIAL electric heaters (IPX5) is permitted exclusively. When connecting to electrical sockets the latter must not be located in Zones 0, 1 or 2!
The device should be installed by a professional, who has to comply with the manufacturer’s instructions, and the standards and restrictions for the installation of the device in question. Check the enclosed instructions for technical data about your type of heater and the instructions for installation and maintenance.

What is supplied with the radiator?

With the BIAL radiator there are also included: brackets, vent plug, blind plug, warranty certificate and instructions for installation and maintenance.

Can the tube radiator be combined with floor heating?

Yes. Consult with the designer of your machine installation about the correct type and dimensions of the radiator. Take care, as a low heating mode reduces the output heating power of the radiator.

What kind of a valve is compatible with the radiator?

We recommend that you choose the type of radiator and the type of connection to the warm water system (side connection or centre connection) before installing the machines and that you consult with the designer of your machine installation. For a pleasant appearance and comfortable use we recommend the use of designer valves.

Where do I install the electrical heater with the A100 radiator?

If you are only going to use the radiator in the electrical mode, we recommend that you install the heater in the right vertical tube. If you are only going to use the radiator in the combined mode (electricity-warm water), the electrical heater should be installed into the left vertical tube. Use the T-piece to connect the electrical heater to the radiator with the combined function.

Where do I install the electrical heater with the SMART and STYLE ME products?

The electrical heater can be installed into the left or right vertical tube of the radiator. The ELS or ILS electrical heater should be installed in the right vertical tube, so that the control keys are located under the radiator. You can see more examples of recommended installations here.

How do I make a combined installation of the SMART and STYLE ME radiators?

Choose the central connection in the product configuration. Connect the radiator to the warm water system with the central valve. Install the electrical heater in the left or right vertical tube of the radiator. Close the warm water system valve before turning on and using the electrical heater, otherwise you will heat the entire warm water system.
